There are different German translations of the evening hymn "Christe qui lux es et dies". The translation by Michael Weiße ("Christe, der du bist Tag und Licht") is usually sung to a melody that is based on the medieval hymn, while the translation by Erasmus Alber is usually sung to a more modern melody from the 16th century.
To make this beautiful hymn also accessible to choirs that cannot sing in German, I have also prepared an international edition with the Latin text of the original hymn underlaid.
