Here I make available simple falsobordone settings of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis, which are the canticles sung during the Anglican Evensong or during a Catholic Vesper and Complet. "Falsobordone" is a musical style for psalms in which the bulk of the psalm verses is recited on a single chord, which is followed by a more or less elaborate cadence. This results in very quickly learnable pieces. My settings closely follow the monodic psalm tones.

These pieces wer commissioned by Christ's Hospital in Horsham (England) for its Evening Services. As requested, they are based on the English text of the Book of Common Prayer from 1662.
