A very simple setting of the well know advent choral based on the "O Antiphons". I have included two settings, one for mixed choir and one for equal voices. These two settings should be sung alternatingly.
Sources for text and melody can be found in Douglas D. Anderson's collection "A Treasury of Christmas Carols: The Hymns and Carols of Christmas".

A three part setting for mixed voices (SAM) can be found in my Lute Book for Advent and Christmas.
An alternative version with an English text translation and an early
romantic sighful melody by C.B. Verspoell is
here available.
There are several recordings of this piece on YouTube, some by outstanding choirs like Göteborgs Gosskör (Sweden) or the Choir Gaudeamus Brno (Czech).
