A Christamas motet that I have written for the "Schola Cantorum of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish" (Pittsburgh, USA), which is directed by John Rokosz. The exuberant style is reminiscent of the late 16th century (e.g. Gabrieli), and I have included many musical interpretations of the text. As some of these are less obvious, you can find below an explanation of the musical word painting.
For the middle part before the refrain is repeated, I have prepared two alterntive versions. One is the original Latin verse from the Graduale Romanum, the other one is an English translation of the preceding Latin text. The latter version might be useful as a self-explanatory "subtitle".
