A sonata written in the period style of the late baroque, which can be played on a variety of instruments, depending on the available forces. While style and tessitura of the first voice particularly fit an alto recorder, the second voice works equally well on a violin, traverse flute or voice flute (recorder in d). The figured bass can be realized on a harpsichord with a viol (gamba) doubling the bass line, or as well only on a harpsichord, or eben on a viol alone.
