Fantasies for Renaissance Lute (Albert de Rippe, 1562)

Even though Albert de Rippe's fantaisies are remarkable music for Renaissance lute, there are currently no printed editions of them available. A facsimile edition of his six lute books has never been published, as far as I know, and the modern edition of his fantasies, published 1972 by CNRS, has been out of print for many years. During the last years, some libraries have posted online-facsimiles on their websites, see here for a list.

I make here some fantasies available, which are taken from de Rippe's first, second and fifth lute boook, published posthumely be de Roy and Ballard 1562 in Paris. These editions are based on copies provided by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, München (4 Mus.pr. 193).
