Ricercars over Genevan Psalm Tunes (Christoph Dalitz, 2009)

This is a collection of six two part ricercars having a cantus firmus in the lower part that is taken from the 16th century Genevan psalter. The contrasubjectum is closely related to the cantus firmus through polyphonic imitation.
For most ricercars from this volume, I had written before a vocal version for alto and tenor that is also freely available from this website. As I found that many of them also work very well on the lute, I have prepared some additional settings, arranged for Renaissance lute and with idiomatic divisions and embellishments added.
