Ascendit Deus (Christoph Dalitz, 2016)
- Disposition: three part mixed choir (SAT, SSA, or TTB)
- Composer: Christoph Dalitz

The text "God is gone up" ("Ascendit Deus") stems from the Old Testament, but is reinterpreted by its usage on Ascension Day as referring to Christ. The propers list it as an offertory at Ascension Day.
To make this piece as useful as possible, I have prepared editions in different languages: one in Latin for international use, one in English for use in English catholic churches or as a "verse anthem" in anglican churches, and one in German.
